I'm a regular user of psilocybin mushrooms, have done Ayahuasca twice, MDMA, ketamine, and even DMT several times. But finally the venom of the Colorado River Toad called to me... and I answered this mysterious toad. 

This weekend I sat in ceremony with bufo alvarius aka 5-MEO-DMT. Share in my full experience in the first video of my new YouTube series, Psychedelic Real Talk, as I divulge about what happened to me during the ceremony and after.

It was as if millions of years of human evolution were undone. I felt myself slipping back into the womb, back through childhood and infancy. Instead of getting scared or anxious about what could happen next,  else happened: my mind opened up like a flower bud opens in springtime. A big part of why this happened is because--like most people who try psychedelics--you know that once you tap the universal consciousness, there is nothing but abundant love there. 

The experience was intense but not overwhelming; rather it felt like having your eyes open while being underwater without getting wet or having any water in your lungs at all. It was as though you were simply floating in space held by shades of orange, yellow, and green. The sense of deep peace was unparalleled.

I was in a state of complete bliss, love and peace. It was as if millions of years of human evolution were undone. I felt myself slipping back into the womb, back through childhood and infancy. There was no separation between me and this place, no need for language or thought; it was as if all barriers between me and everything else had fallen away forever.

When you smoke bufo, it's like being born again into another life-form; your body morphs into something else entirely while simultaneously remaining yourself at the same time (hence why people say they feel like they've been "born again"). I thought I was already pretty "woke," but bufo made it clear that there was life before bufo... and now a life after bufo. 

A big part of why I think what happened to me was so profound and life-changing is because the spirit of the toad itself became my teacher. I could even feel more moisture in my skin, as if the toad was secreting through me and brightening my youth. In the several days after, I experienced a few incredibly beautiful "reactivations" where the bufo comes back to life inside you. I continue to learn from my experience through this. 

This experience reminds me even more so that we are all connected and that if we can share these experiences with one another, we may be able to grow together into a better world.
